The client needed safe access into the rear of the property, that was also suitable for their young children. A child-friendly Easitread platform and step unit with highlighted steps provided the perfect solution.

Requirements
Platform and steps allowing safe access into rear of property via the back yard. The customer explained that she has three children. One of the children has an issue with the rear steps of the property and has had several falls. Her other children have also had trips and fall on these steps. We agreed a platform with balustrade rails would allow them to step out more safely and then a four-tread step unit will provide five reduced height steps to the platform. Completing the installation in the Easitread surface will make the entire installation more child friendly.

- Balustrade rails – Platform is above 600mm and is a much safer option when there are three children at the property. Removing the mid rail and using balustrade removes the option of climbing the rails.
End Result
An Easitread platform and step unit has been installed with highlighted steps for better visibility at night.
