St Joseph’s is a school for ages 11-18 years in the Archdiocese of Cardiff. It is becoming increasingly popular for schools and other educational organisations to utilise modular buildings to provide more teaching space for their students. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring students could socially distance.

Client brief
In total three new modular classrooms were required, that were designed to be installed within the schools existing playground and games area. The three modular units were purchased by the school and formed into classroom units, with double door access.
Installation considerations
All modular ramp components for the 3 modular classroms were installed during 2 visits, over 3 working days.
Main requirements and features
- This access solution specified to be fully balustraded.
- 1100mm high rails installed at specified positions to provide additional safety and assurance.
- All level changes required 55mm highlight edges.
Project Summary
