Exhibiting Accessibility: Our Experience of London Build
Recently, we travelled to the capital to attend London Build Expo where we were amongst the 450+ exhibitors in the UK’s biggest festival of construction. With over 38,000 attendees, DJs, musicians, live performances and celebrity guests, it was clear this wasn’t just a trade show, it was a festival of construction and celebration!
We thoroughly enjoyed a rewarding and exciting 2 days, speaking with new and existing customers, attending conferences and showing people how we can make the UK more accessible.
What is London Build?
London Build is the UK’s leading and largest construction and design show, which acts as a meeting point for contractors, architects, developers, civil engineers, housebuilders, and local councils. Not only was this a platform for individual businesses to highlight their work, but there was room for CPD training and education, along with 12 conference stages where 750+ speakers gave out some inspiring talks.
This year marked 10 years since the show started, which is a successful landmark for everybody involved and it’s safe to say… they did not disappoint!
Visitors could explore: the Architect’s Hub, which displayed project boards and 3D models of upcoming developments from leading architects across the UK. The Robot Arena which showcased next-generation innovation and cutting-edge robotics through live demonstrations. Visitors could also explore the ‘Meet the Buyers’ lounge, which offered opportunities to network with a wide range of companies and take part in one-on-one meetings.
Why did we attend?
Attending this event felt like a must for us at Easiaccess as we share many core values with London Build as well as having the opportunity to showcase our work to a whole host of different companies. The event had a strong emphasis on sustainability, net-zero goals, and diversity and inclusion – all of which we believe are fundamental to what we strive to achieve. A big part of our work is centred around improving accessibility and making inclusion feel standard, not something people have to fight for.
Because we work on so many large public-access installations, this was the perfect place for us to demonstrate how successful our modular systems are and why we’re the go-to option for ramps, steps and handrails. Our systems provide a range of benefits and features that help organisations reach regulatory compliance requirements for public spaces. Due to our modular design, we can configure our products in countless ways, meaning that we can complete any project, no matter the complexity.
You can explore what some of our public access projects involve through one of our case studies. For example, we installed a modular ramp and step unit for the Newcastle United FC temporary club store. Want to learn more? [Click here to read the full case study!]
The Event
From the moment we arrived, we felt an instant buzz around Olympia. Everyone was excited to get going and open the doors and get the event underway.
The entertainment certainly didn’t disappoint over the two days. We had the delight of encountering a pair of towering lampposts, two enormous flowers, and even a walking disco ball. It was these unexpected moments that brought plenty of smiles and made the days so fun. Combined with the many impressive stands, interactive games, and eye-catching displays, there was never a dull moment. Chelsea FC’s stand even brought along a Champions League trophy, giving visitors the perfect photo opportunity.
Having the opportunity to speak with people about what we do, and how we can help improve their business, is something we never take for granted. Sharing our story and showcasing our products is always rewarding, especially when we can highlight that accessibility isn’t a burden but a necessity. Helping others understand its importance is a meaningful part of what we do.
It was equally valuable to learn from others and explore how their expertise could support and streamline our own processes. Often, it’s those small, genuine conversations that spark new ideas, open doors to future partnerships, and create business opportunities that help our company continue to grow.
What stood out most about London Build was the seamless blend of fun and professionalism. While the atmosphere encouraged enjoyment and exploration, the event still maintained a strong focus on business, networking, and building new connections.
That’s a wrap on Easiaccess’ 2025 events! We’ve enjoyed every moment, making new connections, showcasing what we do, and celebrating another successful year. We can’t wait to return in 2026 and do it all again!
