How Easiaccess assisted the Guide Dogs

Easiaccess, are one of the UK’s leading providers of access solutions. However, one of the most recent installations was a little bit different. Easiaccess recently installed new dog accommodation in the Guide Dogs new home in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The new dog day care pods are designed to create a safe and secure environment for dogs in training. Each pod offers space for the dogs to be able to move around and provides a comfortable area to relax when not being trained. Take a look the pods in our 360 tour!

The Day Care Pods

The dog day care pods are designed with the highest standards of safety in mind, constructed from powder coated steel. The black high gloss surface not only increases corrosion resistance, but makes them easy to clean, ensuring a more hygienic space for the dogs. Each unit features a standard gate with a spring-loaded bolt allowing easy access in and out of the pod. Additionally, a sliding gate between each pod creates the opportunity for dogs to socialise easily with each other, while also making it easy to move dogs between cages if needed.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, known colloquially as Guide Dogs, is a British charitable organisation founded in 1934. Guide Dogs provides services to help people with sight loss live the life they choose the team in Newcastle cover Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, Teesside, and Cumbria and offer a range of services for adults and children with visual impairment. These include guide dogs, buddy dogs, life skills, sighted guiding and information and advice.

With these new dog day care pods, Easiaccess has ensured that guide dogs will have a comfortable and safe place to stay when they are away from home learning vital new skills, and they hope to help with future installations across the UK, furthering the fantastic work done by this amazing charity.
