Introduction
Easibathe and Easiaccess took on the challenge of the 2025 Rampathon! This involved walking laps around a ramp that we installed in our car park, continuously, for 24 hours straight. This was in aid of raising money for the Easifoundation. The funds raised would then be distributed to various charities, supporting and benefiting a wide range of people in need. The challenge had one simple but tough rule: at least one person had to be on the ramp at all times, completing laps, for the entire 24 hours.
Our ambitious goal? To complete 12,000 laps, which would roughly equate to the distance from Newcastle to London (around 290 miles). A daunting number, to say the least…
About Easifoundation
Easifoundation is a charitable initiative created by Easibathe and Easiaccess, dedicated to supporting a wide range of local communities, charities, and individuals across the areas where we live and work. Our mission is to give back by contributing our time, energy, and resources to make meaningful, lasting impacts.
We don’t just raise funds, we actively engage our workforce to play a hands-on role in our efforts. From volunteering to community projects, our team is at the heart of what we do. Some of our recent initiatives include:

And many more community-focused activities
At Easifoundation, we’re committed to making a difference, one project, one community, and one act of kindness at a time.
The Ramp
To align with our commitment to sustainability and reusability, we chose to use recycled stock for this challenge. Rather than letting unused materials go to waste, we gave our old platforms and rails a new lease of life, proving that even pre-used components can perform just as well. These materials demonstrated their hallmark qualities: durability, longevity, and superior grip.
At Easiaccess, we proudly offer recycled stock as a more budget-friendly option. Each piece is carefully restored to its original high standard, ready to continue serving individuals by providing safe, reliable, and accessible solutions.
The challenge
Starting at 4 PM on Thursday, 10th July, and finishing at 4 PM on Friday, 11th July, we spent a full 24 hours walking, running, jogging and even hopping around the ramp. We went into this challenge thinking it might be easier than it looked… but we quickly realised we’d seriously underestimated the task at hand. Each lap measured 39 meters, made up of our durable metal mesh platforms arranged in a four-cornered loop, forming a continuous circuit that we circled relentlessly in pursuit of our 12,000-lap goal.
Kicking things off at 4 PM meant that later on in the night, we needed some night owls to power through the early hours. Thankfully, our incredible team stepped up. A dedicated group of five volunteers organised shifts and sleep schedules to keep the challenge going strong through the night, ensuring we never missed a single lap.
How it went
At 4 PM, we were full of energy and quick out of the traps, everyone started off running laps to build momentum fast. But it didn’t take long for the novelty to wear off. Breathless and sweating, we soon switched gears to walking instead. As time passed, we found ways to keep ourselves entertained: wheelbarrow laps, hopping laps, frisbee throws, dancing, singing, races, leapfrogging. You name it, we tried it! If there was a weird and wonderful way of completing a lap, we gave it a go! These creative antics added a huge entertainment factor and made the whole experience far more enjoyable.
By the time the night shift rolled around, the fatigue started to kick in (especially around 3 AM) when tired eyes began to fall. We quickly adopted a strategy: the five team members staying overnight took 30-minute lap shifts, followed by two hours of rest. This kept things fair and ensured no one carried the full load through the night. As morning arrived, powered by energy drinks and a bit of delusional dancing, we got a fresh wave of support at around 6 AM. More team members rallied to take over and keep the laps going strong. Throughout the day, whenever anyone needed a break from work or simply wanted to contribute, they’d head down to the car park and knock out a few laps.
To celebrate the end of this blockbuster challenge, we hosted a BBQ for all staff, giving everyone another opportunity to get involved and keep the momentum going. It brought the whole team together and helped us rack up even more laps. The coordination, enthusiasm, and teamwork displayed throughout the 24 hours was incredible, like a well-oiled machine, we kept the ramp alive and moving. And that’s what made it all possible.
We’ve created a video capturing the day’s events – full of excitement, challenges, and fun. It perfectly reflects the spirit, values, and strong sense of community that define our company!
The Result
We absolutely smashed this challenge, both on and off the ramp! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised a whopping £1,115, surpassing our original target of £750. We’re truly grateful to every single person who donated, your support made all the difference!
While we had a lot of fun taking on the Rampathon, we never lost sight of the reason behind it all – raising money for charity through the Easifoundation, helping causes that truly matter. And if that wasn’t enough, we also completed an astounding 12,601 laps, exceeding our original goal! With each lap measuring approximately 39 meters, that adds up to a total distance of around 305 miles (491 km). That’s the equivalent of walking from the Easibathe and Easiaccess offices all the way to Big Ben, and still having 15 miles to spare!
This is an incredible achievement, and we want to say a huge congratulations to everyone who took part. Whether you ran, walked, danced, or wheelbarrowed your way around the ramp, you played a vital role – and we hope you’re as proud of yourselves as we are of you.
Once again, thank you to everyone who donated and took part, we think everyone did a brilliant job for a great cause!
